The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish massage is a vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a Massage therapist, predominantly aimed at working within the beauty industry. During the course you will develop a range of practical skills enabling you to you to prepare the client for a personalised treatment through the effective use of consultation skills.
You will learn how to provide massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements which can be adapted to suit the individual client’s needs. You will also develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety and client care.
This VTCT qualification has no prerequisites; however, a previous anatomy and physiology qualification is an advantage.
How long does the course take?
The course includes a total of eight days classroom based teaching, training and assessments. You will also be required to undertake some guided home study outside these hours.
To complete the qualification you are required to sit two external exam papers set by VTCT and successfully complete four practical assessments, the time for the completion of these elements is included in the eight days.

You will be required to wear a tunic and adhere to an appropriate dress code; this will be discussed with your tutor prior to starting the course. Other study materials may be desirable for some students and again these can be discussed with your tutor and advice and recommendations will be given.

£795 (inc VAT) which includes a VTCT registration fee, course materials and multiple choice exam paper.
